A spoonful of blogging helps procrastinate studying.

October 23, 2011
Dear Diary,
I am writing in you to avoid studying for my midterm.
Yours truly,
Erin

Anyway!

Today in Sunday school we were studying about Noah and his obedience to God.
We started in Hebrews Chapter 11 and discussed what we know about Noah, and why he was put in the Hall of Faith.

As usual, I get the traditional answers.
1) He had faith
2) He trusted God
3) He was obedient to God's will. ...

After a breif discussion, we proceeded to read Genesis 6-9.
Since I had middle school girls, it isn't easy to keep thier attention to go verse by verse and study God's word. So therefore, we study in concepts, main points etc. Today however, we drew a big ark on the board, and filled it with all of the things we learned about Noah.

The study was very intesting and I really think the girls picked up some stuff. However, it wasn't until I was sitting at lunch with husband that I realized just how special Noah's wife and family truly were.

Follow my thoughts. ...
1) We all know that it had never actually RAINED before.
2) We all know that building an Ark and bringing in animals from all over was a little crazy (in theory)...
3) To be honest, if it were me. ... I'd think my husband were CRAZY!

"You want me to do what?"

"Live in a boat with our kids and a bunch of animals?"

"Honey, you are 600 years old, do you really think this whole ark thing is a good idea" . ...

Noah and his family (or household) were obedient to the Lord.

Here is where the Lord spoke to me (during my crazy thought process)

What if God asked Christopher to do something out of the ordinary?

How would I react?

Hebrews 11:6

6 A man cannot please God unless he has faith. Anyone who comes to God must believe that He is. That one must also know that God gives what is promised to the one who keeps on looking for Him.
