Healthy Choices

I can hardly believe that we are in the very end of January and Chris and I are STILL on the right track with healthy choices.

I'm really proud of the healthy choices we have been making and furthermore, when we do fail (like order pizza, or eat McDonald's before church on Friday nights) it is actually inspiring us to work harder.

I have a lot to say. However, not much time to post.

2012 is here, we are ready for healthy choices.

A co-workers roommate is currently doing  a biggest loooooser challenge in her office at work. Therefore, my co-worker is making healthier choices.
Additionally, her roommate has gotten a hold of my email and ... Now, I get emails encouraging me to encourage my co-worker. ... SO, I guess  making healthy choices was just kind of thrust upon me.

Here is a list of a few of the healthy choices Chris and I have implemented over the last 2 weeks.
Limit Caffeine intakeI have dropped to only 1 coffee per week. Limited amounts of red meatSalads with baked chicken for lunch (or limited portions of left over dinner)limit sugar/sweet/dessert intake (this is REALLY hard)Increase water to 10 glasses a day Eat yogurt (p.s. I do NOT like yogurt at all) We ALSO are doing 7 days of the Jillian Michaels Water Detox.

I don't know if I have seen any results in my appearance. However, I DO Feel   better.

I want to give an official shout out to my Mom who posted on facebook that she reads it, and another Jewel in my assembly who reads my blog.

Anyway,...

I recently (like Tuesday) decided that I was going to do the Jillian Michaels water detox. I am currently on Day 2.

Wednesday was day 1. OHMYGOODNESSTHATWASSOVERYNASTY.

I survived day one and moved on to day 2. As with most things in life, the first time is usually harder than the second. So, day three must be awesome!

I do actually feel more hydrated and hopefully my liver and kidneys will be cleansed.

Planning.

Proverbs 16:1 NLT
We can make our own plans,
but the Lord gives the right answer.I was thinking about my need tp plan things, organize things, put them into binders and timelines. Its a little crazy isn't it? Well it is time to start planning for our week of camp. Im looking forward to Varsity 1 -2012. I know the Lord is going to do big things. I pray that the Lord helps us seek his answers while we plan.

Learning to Grow Up.

If you've ever been to my home assembly in Miami, Florida you have probably noticed a section of Jewels. In the back right side of our assembly is a section of beautiful women. These women are true examples of what it means to be a pillar in the church.

A few years ago, I had the privilidge of studying 1st Timothy with one of of Elders wives.  Of course, it was incredibly encouraging because we studied it with the middle school / 9th graders.  The biggest take away from the study was the need to pursue godliness above all else. To dedicate our lives to seeking Christ.

I am blessed to have such Godly women in my life.  The back right corner of my home assembly I have the opportunity to rub shoulders with women who ooze godliness with each smile, each kiss on the cheak and each "How ya doin' Honey"

In December one of the women in our assembly was taken to be with her savior. Through her death I was reminded once again of the call to pursue godlibess.  Have yo…
