Spaghetti & Meatballs.

Bonjour!

Every once and a while I get inspired to be creative. Happily, it was a co-workers birthday today! Therefore, we needed CUPCAKES! For my foodie-co-worker, I decided to make Spaghetti & Meat Ball cupcakes!  So, just for kicks and giggles, I thought that I would share how I made my spaghetti and meatball cupcakes.

Thank you google! I did a quick google search and ran across "April Fools Day Desserts". Obviously, it intrigued me. SO, here we go.
Mix the Cake Mix (Store bought)

Mix the "noodles"

Frost the cupcakes.

I spooned yellow frosting into a bag, cut a teeny-tiny hole in the corner and piped the noodles onto the "plate"

Warmed Strawberry Jam (Spaghetti Sauce)

Whoppers and White Chocolate  (Meatballs & Parm. Cheese)

Final Touch! Serve the cupcakes in lasagna dish.

How long did it take?

it took me only about 30 minutes to decorate all of the cupcakes.


Was it as easy as it looks?

It was super easy!

Our Visit to The Little Farm

If you live in the South Florida area and have young children, I recommend filling a car with some friends and family and heading down to Goulds for some fun at "The Little Farm".*
As a mom of young children I'm always searching the web for fun (free or inexpensive) adventures for our family. It was on one of these searches that I found The Little Farm. 
I was skeptical at first because it was 5.00 just to park the car, but... when you've been cooped up in your house with three kids for a few weeks you start to look for opportunities to get out. 
At The Little Farm you will find lots of animals to look at, a cute photo opportunity ($12.00), pumpkins, petting zoo ($4.00), butterfly garden (free), horse and pony rides ($3.00), a play area and food for purchase. MOM HACKS: Postpartum Hair Loss & Regrowth!

Remember when you were pregnant, and everything seemed to glow? 
If you, like me, find yourself sweeping up enormous amounts of hair from you floor, or constantly cleaning your shower drains and vacuum cleaners, fear not. 
You are NOT alone. 
Our hair goes through different cycles. There will be times when your hair is in a state of rest, and then will shed. According to what I've read, when you are not expecting, you loose about 100 hairs a day. However, once you become pregnant, your body slows down the cycles. Thus, keeping those 100 hairs nicely on your head.

Once your beautiful baby is born, and your hormones start to go back to normal... the cycle returns and your hair begins to fall. With all three of my pregnancies, this happened between 3-5 months postpartum. It's quite unfortunate that just about the time I was feeling like a human, and getting the hang of motherhood my hair started falling out.

21 Day Fix: Final Thoughts and Results

On Sunday, January 22nd, I completed the 21 Day Fix!

It was ridiculously hard for me to stay focused, and at the beginning of week 3, I had no interest in pushing play for another workout. However, I did push play each day and complete the program. 
Thoughts on Container Eating:  I liked having the containers to measure out an appropriate serving size, and really felt that I learned a lot about what my body needs.  Since I shop primarily at a bulk grocery store, I found that I got bored with the options I had in my fridge. I think next time I would shop at a regular store and buy smaller quantities. 
Will I continue container eating?  Yes. 
I'd like to continue container portioning my meals for the next few months so that I can really understand visually what my plate should look like. 
Thoughts on the workouts. Boring.
