Well, I am happy to blog that today we had a slight schedule change at work this week. Since we have a week long event, I was given the gift of coming in later today.!

I've had a wonderful morning and it's only 9:30 a.m. (I could get used to this ...)

It's incredible how changing my schedule for just one day can be so motivating for me!
I was so inspired by all the extra time in my morning I decided to mix it up! 

1) Sleep in! - Refuse to walk the dogs
  • Sorry Husband ... 
2)  Eat a morning snack
  • I ate an apple with a glass of water prior to my walk. 
3) Walk a different route
  • Normally, I would have walked the 1 mile loop around my neighborhood. However TODAY! I mixed it up and walked a little over 2 miles. 
Towards the end of my walk I did some light jogging (felt great!)
4) Did two loads of laundry before work!

5) Tried a new recipe!

Did you mix it up today?!

Oatmeal (cooked with milk), Peanut butter and Cinnamon.  

I got this idea from a co-worker. She's always giving me little tips for staying healthy! Honestly, she's so encouraging to me.

Our Visit to The Little Farm

If you live in the South Florida area and have young children, I recommend filling a car with some friends and family and heading down to Goulds for some fun at "The Little Farm".*
As a mom of young children I'm always searching the web for fun (free or inexpensive) adventures for our family. It was on one of these searches that I found The Little Farm. 
I was skeptical at first because it was 5.00 just to park the car, but... when you've been cooped up in your house with three kids for a few weeks you start to look for opportunities to get out. 
At The Little Farm you will find lots of animals to look at, a cute photo opportunity ($12.00), pumpkins, petting zoo ($4.00), butterfly garden (free), horse and pony rides ($3.00), a play area and food for purchase. According to the website, proceeds from the food and pumpkin purchases during the pumpkin patch event are given to charity.

Tips for taking your Toddlers to the Magic Kingdom - AFTER Bedtime!

In an attempt to capture as many beautiful memories of the days when we traveled through Disney with three toddlers, I have brought my Youtube Channel back to life!

In my most recent vlog, I share several tips on how to have an amazing time in the Magic Kingdom with your toddlers after they are typically in bed. You can find three of the tips listed below.

Tip 1  Make sure children are well rested. Since we live about 5 hours from Walt Disney World, our children are often asleep most of the time we are driving. Since it's next to impossible to get them to go to sleep once we get to our hotel room, we opt for a few hours of fun in the parks. 
Tip 2 Have a plan.  We decided to grab fast passes for the Princesses and Peter Pan because those activities typically have a long line. In order to make the most of our evening, we only did things located inside Fantasy Land. This helped maximise our time inside the parks.

MOM HACKS: Postpartum Hair Loss & Regrowth!

Remember when you were pregnant, and everything seemed to glow? 
If you, like me, find yourself sweeping up enormous amounts of hair from you floor, or constantly cleaning your shower drains and vacuum cleaners, fear not. 
You are NOT alone. 
Our hair goes through different cycles. There will be times when your hair is in a state of rest, and then will shed. According to what I've read, when you are not expecting, you loose about 100 hairs a day. However, once you become pregnant, your body slows down the cycles. Thus, keeping those 100 hairs nicely on your head.

Once your beautiful baby is born, and your hormones start to go back to normal... the cycle returns and your hair begins to fall. With all three of my pregnancies, this happened between 3-5 months postpartum. It's quite unfortunate that just about the time I was feeling like a human, and getting the hang of motherhood my hair started falling out.
