In Training: Running for the Childrens [Updated]

At about 79 days until our next race, I thought i'd take the opportunity to begin a new section of my blog.
Title: In Training: name of race (or nickname)

The plan is to update every Thursday with some stats from my workout.

Today was day 2 of my Adidas Micoach plan. I've said this before (it probably won't be the last time) I really love that application! If you are looking for a good app (free) to help you on your journey to a race, I highly recommend Adidas Mi Coach.

My goals for the 5k is to beat my last time (May 5th, 2012 - Everest 5K)
Time to beat: 42.00 minutes

With that goal in mind, I began my training sessions!

I was very proud of myself, because I was able to run (jog) a mile in 10 minutes and 40 seconds!
For some of you "real" runners, this may be a joke. However, for me... It's a milestone!
It was a reminder that I CAN do this! I CAN run, I CAN get healthy and I CAN beat my time!

So, Adidas micoach isn't loading (I think it's my internet).
I'll update this blog with images of my run tomorrow.

Last night my internet was being a pain. Therefore, I was unable to upload my run results from

The shaded areas indicate the levels I was supposed to stay in for that specific time.
Blue is the easiest (walking)
Green is the next level up (Brisk Walking)
I was having a lot of trouble with my head phones, so I kind of (as you can see) just went at my own pace and did whatever I wanted.  I'm sure that is the reason I only scored a 60% on the run.

My play list. I've been getting a little board with my play list. So, if you have any suggestions for songs I should download, please comment below!

Happy Running!
