The Miami Youth for Christ 5K - Recap

11/10/12 - Today I am thankful for my health. I know I've complained a LOT about the recovery of my Wisdom Teeth extraction (and believe me, it was the worst!). However, I am thankful for my health. I am thankful for the health running has provided me.

I'm also thankful that I was able to participate in the Miami Youth for Christ Zoo Walk! In case you missed it, here is my post where I explained the event!

The Juvenile Justice League.

The Stats!
Race time: 73 minutes and 44 seconds.
Our Team: The Juvenile Justice League.

The Swag!
1 extremely soft shirt!

The Course!
3.1 miles through the Miami Metro Zoo (some people refer to it as Zoo Miami, but those are people like me who have only lived in Miami for a few years!)

The Atmosphere!
11 out of 10 stars! When I saw it was awesome, I mean. ... it was AWESOME. The course was filled with so many young people who are involved with the ministry of Youth for Christ (and by young people, I mean an age of about 10 to 60). Each person was genuinely happy to be there. I stand firm in my belief that people with a smile on their face are contagious!
p.s. who doesn't like the zoo?

The Memories!

Here are a few photos from the event. If you follow me on instagram, you probably already saw some of these. Don't worry, I saved some just for the blog!
