Instead of a frilly or glittered card Prince Charming and I wanted to give her the gift of memories. So, on Thursday night after work we loaded up in the car and drove to Central Florida to stay at my parents house.
After enjoying breakfast, and getting into the park we convinced my mother (who is deathly afraid of heights) that going on Soarin' would be a "good idea". We waited line for about 20 or 30 minutes, and finally it was our turn to soar through California. We got my mom all loaded into the ride, the lights lower and I lean over and whisper ...
"Mom, you don't even feel it when it flips upside down!"
I only wish I could have recorded my mother's response!!
"WHAT, ERIN YOU DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT GOING UPSIDE DOWN!"
She then proceeded to grip my hand so tightly I'm kind of sure I may have lost circulation at one point... just maybe? haha
After Soarin' we explored through the countries.
We met some princesses and had some tea. Of course, we invited Alice, we didn't want the Mad Hatter to think she was just showing up uninvited you know.
We explored some more gardens and towards the end of the day, we checked in with our friends Mickey, Minnie & Pluto.
I hope that my Mom had a beautiful birthday celebration, I only wish my big sister and her husband were able to join us.
Happy Birthday Mom!
