Top 10 Memories: Part 1

Who was watching my Instagram account last week like suuuuper jealous?

Prince Charming and I were in Colorado, and we had SO much fun exploring.

You can read about our first official day of exploring here. As you can see, we were SUPER busy! If I were to give a recap about all of our adventures this blog would turn into a travel blog. As much as I love traveling, this is more of a, running, Erin's crazy and blogs about everything blog!

So, I've narrowed it down to my top 10 favorite memories / adventures from the trip!

Number 10 The Snowy Welcome
When we landed in Colorado Springs (after literally an entire day of traveling) we were greeted with snow flurries! Prince Charming and I danced around in the parking lot taking pictures of the snow, and laughing ... All we kept saying was "look at the snow, it's like powder!!" We had just flown in from Miami, we are the early stages of our rainy season... So, ... snow was a big deal!

Number 9 80995
When I was growing up we listened to a Focus of the Family radio program titled "Adventures in Odyssey!"  In the Program they have many adventures, at the end they usually end up eating ice cream at Whit's End and of course there is always a Bible Lesson. It's a positive story time of the radio geared towards young children.

Well, at the Focus on the Family Welcome Center, there is SO much to do (for kids!) Tons of play rooms, a slide (Which I was "small enough to ride"! YAY NON-SCALE VICTORY + BEING SHORT!) If you are ever in Colorado Springs and you have small children (or grew up listening to the broadcast) you should TOTALLY go check it out!

P.S. The indoor play areas, kids movie room (playing veggie tales) and the slide are all FREE!

Number 8 Garden of the Gods

Prince Charming and I had planned on Horseback riding through Garden of the Gods. BUT we had the opportunity participate in the Glow Run, sooo, we opted to drive through it instead! It was beautiful.  Sorry, I didn't take too many pictures. I was busy looking at all the rocks! To be honest, the Visitor Center was closed before we got there - so we just drove around and looked at the rocks for a few minutes.

Number 7 The Air force Academy

Another FREE place to explore is the Air force Academy. Seriously, the drive from the security booth to the Welcome Center was remarkable. The mountains in Colorado are just beautiful!  Anyway, we explored the welcome center (which was nice) BUT the chapel. ...

The website states that it's the most popular man made attraction in Colorado and I for one, believe it! It was BEAUTIFUL!

Number 6 As Cold As the Rockies!

I'm not a beer drinker, but we were in Colorado so we wanted to eat at a Brewery and have some local beer. Since the altitude was super high, I avoided the "adult beverages" and just had the BEST ROOTBEER I HAVE EVER TASTED!

Thanks Colorado Mountain Brewery!
