Monday we had an appointment with my OB to check on the baby. Little Lady was over-tired from the weekend plus we are *still* working on those 4 molars.
Poor baby, Sunday night she was just so tired, and her teeth were hurting etc... She was actually got so worked up she projectile vomited milk ALL over the two of us. My husband helped clean her up while I went and cleaned myself up and she finally settled down and went to sleep around 3 a.m.
At 6:00, I woke up with a stomach ache and was pretty much awake until the alarm went off at 7:00.
With my husband and daughter sound asleep, I got up and started getting up ready to get out the door.
What a morning...
Week 35 Stats
Diabetes Management - under control with diet and exercise.
Weight Gain/Loss - lost 2 lbs since the last apt which brings my weight gain for this pregnancy to 7 lbs.
Blood Pressure - normal healthy range
Contractions - every so often
I'm now at the point where I will start going to the OB every week and due to my gestational diabetes I will have weekly ultrasounds to check the babies growth.
Thankfully I am able to do the ultrasounds at my weekly appointments and follow up via email to the diabetic counselor. My last pregnancy I had to go to two different places at the end so I'm thankful my OB is allowing me to do everything in her office!
Big Sister Report!
Little lady and I have had lots of conversations about the baby and how much fun it's going to be to help mommy take care of a new baby.
I think she's going to be a great big sister - I'm just going to have to pay extra attention to make sure she doesn't end up treating her sister like one of her dolls...
Over all I'm feeling okay. The constant monitoring of my sugars and following a menu is getting to me. On Sunday I had a free day - I didn't test my sugars and even ate ice cream for dinner! I had to confess to my OB that I ate ice cream FOR dinner and that's why my sugars were really high the next morning. My numbers have been completely fine when I actually eat properly so she wasn't too concerned - obviously she encouraged me to have some protein and veggies next time.
Morning sickness is rare these days (praise the Lord!) and actually I went almost 2 weeks without throwing up!
I am looking forward to our baby girl joining the family soon. I can't wait to share her name and the meaning behind it with you!
Question: what's your favorite flavor of ice cream, and would you eat it for dinner??
