Weekly Chase - #MiamiFamous in 6 days!

Hello my friends!
Last week was quite exciting in the Storybook household.  Long runs, birthday, tornado warning and a (last minute) trip to Disney!

We got home from Disney last Sunday(1/10), and had every intention of staying home for the long weekend. The girls had a little stuffy nose, and Prince Charming was a little under the weather and has a Marathon coming up (in six days). However, during dinner on Thursday night we were talking and decided that we have the passes, my husband has Monday off of work and ... if we don't go to Disney we would wish we did... So, we booked a hotel for Sunday night.

Friday we had a little bit of a scare, around 10:45 a.m. my phone went off with a tornado warning and it was advised to take shelter. So, I scooped up my baby and started grabbing, a bottle, snacks, books, toys, diapers, wipes, blankets and pillows and putting them in the bathroom. Once I had the bathroom all set up and the three of us went inside to wait for the storm to pass. Daddy was at work :-( so it was just us girls.

We hung out in there for about two hours, I was watching the weather pass on my phone and the girls were busy playing, reading books and giggling. I guess it's exciting to play in the bathroom? My toddler also unrolled some toilet paper and the girls had a great time ripping it into a thousand tiny pieces (that was fun to clean up).

All was well by 1:00 p.m. and I was thankful no tornados touched down around us. Friday evening little lady fell asleep at 7 p.m. and by 1:00 a.m. was WIDE AWAKE, so we played, watched a movie and I did my best to get her back to sleep. By the time I got her back to sleep my husband's alarm went off for his 15 mile run. After his run we headed out to do some shopping and eventually ended up with friends for dinner.  I had to do my long run when we got home and since it was close to 10 p.m. when I got to the treadmill, I cut my 10 miles down to 5. I was pretty happy with the pace I was able to keep, and that I did it even with all the excuses in the world.

Sunday after church we headed over to the Magic Kingdom. Little Lady LOVES the carousel and dumbo. So, that's what we did. We also snuck in some time at the castle with Elsa, Anna, Cinderella and Rapunzel. She's just so in love with the princesses and I LOVE it!

Monday we spent some time at Hollywood Studios, my husband went on (the best ride ever) Rockin' Roller Coaster, while the girls and I spent 2 hours in Club Disney dancing with the Daisy, Donald, Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale, Goofy,  and Pluto. It was SO much fun! - More on that soon

So,... now that you've heard about my weekend let's check in with my goals from last week!

As always, the Weekly Chase is a link up with Mindy (www.roadrunnergirl.com).

1. Long run over the weekend  - Sort of... 5 miles.

2. Put away the Christmas decorations - still up...  the tree is down, but the decorations are in a pile on the other side of the baby gate leading up to the loft. Looks like it will be February before we get them put away fully.

I'm not a bit upset that I still have a snow man snow globe on my kitchen counter, we had SO much fun at Disney this weekend.

Here are my goals for this week.
1. 2-3 shorter runs to stay loose for Miami Half Marathon. 2. Pack for Miami 3. Get laundry washed, dried, folded AND put away by Thursday.

What goals are you chasing this week?
